**Role Overview**
We are seeking a talented Medical Assistant to join our Cardiology team at Yale New Haven Health. As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and supporting our physicians/providers with various tasks.
**Key Responsibilities Include**
- Performing patient care responsibilities as assigned, including identifying themselves to patients/families and explaining the roles of each member of the care delivery team.
- Sending/receiving patient medical records and abstracting new patient records into EPIC.
- Maintaining a clean and organized workspace, including setting up instruments and equipment according to department protocol.
**Education and Experience**
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a High School Diploma or equivalent, and graduation from an accredited medical assistant certificate program. Certification/Registration (CCMA/CMA/AAMA/RMA) is preferred. A minimum of 1 year private practice medical assistant experience is preferred in a primary care or specialist office.
