**About Us**

The Yale New Haven Health team is a dedicated group of medical professionals working together to provide exceptional care to our patients. As a Medical Assistant in our Cardiology department, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our patients receive the highest level of care.

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting physicians/providers with patient care, rooming patients, clerical, environmental and organizational tasks. Your excellent communication skills and ability to multi-task will make you an asset to our team.

**Responsibilities**

  • Performs patient care responsibilities as assigned, including identifying themselves to patients/families and explaining the roles of each member of the care delivery team.
  • Performs administrative responsibilities as assigned, including sending/receiving patient medical records and abstracting new patient records into EPIC.
  • Performs environmental responsibilities as assigned, including setting up instruments and equipment according to department protocol.
  • Maintains patient autonomy, confidentiality and dignity.

**Qualifications**

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a High School Diploma or equivalent, and graduation from an accredited medical assistant certificate program. Certification/Registration (CCMA/CMA/AAMA/RMA) is preferred. A minimum of 1 year private practice medical assistant experience is preferred in a primary care or specialist office.
