**Job Summary:**
The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) is a vital member of the healthcare team at Yale New Haven Health, providing essential support to healthcare providers. Key responsibilities include assisting with patient care, managing appointments, and performing clerical tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assists physicians/providers with patient care and rooming patients
- Performs administrative responsibilities such as sending/receiving patient medical records and abstracting new patient records into EPIC
- Sets up instruments and equipment according to department protocol
- May assist and/or perform chaperone duties for patient medical procedures
Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited medical assistant certificate program or certification/registration in lieu of graduation
- Minimum of 1 year private practice medical assistant experience preferred in a primary care or specialist office
- EMR experience preferred and working knowledge of Microsoft office applications required
- Bilingual preferred but not required
