The Clinical Medical Assistant plays a vital role in supporting physicians with patient care and performing administrative tasks in a dynamic healthcare setting. This position involves scheduling appointments, managing patient charts, and ensuring positive patient interactions. The assistant maintains patient confidentiality while providing exceptional customer service and organizational support.
Key Responsibilities:- Performs patient care responsibilities as assigned, including identifying themselves to patients and families and explaining the roles of each member of the care delivery team.
- Executes administrative tasks such as sending and receiving patient medical records, abstracting new patient records into EPIC, and maintaining patient autonomy, confidentiality, and dignity.
- Sets up instruments and equipment according to department protocol and performs other related organizational duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; graduation from an accredited medical assistant certificate program preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year private practice medical assistant experience preferred in a primary care or specialist office.
- Medical Assisting Certification preferred, and working knowledge of Microsoft office applications required.
