Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Assist physicians/providers with patient care, rooming patients, and performing various clinical tasks as assigned.
- Administrative Tasks: Handle appointment scheduling, chart management, and other clerical duties to ensure smooth operations.
- Environmental Responsibilities: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, set up instruments and equipment according to department protocol, and perform other related tasks as assigned.
- Other Duties: May assist with chaperone duties for patient medical procedures and perform other related organizational tasks as needed.
Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; Graduation from an accredited medical assistant certificate program is preferred.
- Certification/Registration: Certification/Registration (CCMA/CMA/AAMA/RMA) is preferred; may be accepted in lieu of graduation from an accredited MA school.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year private practice medical assistant experience preferred in a primary care or specialist office.
- Licenses/Skills: Medical Assisting Certification preferred; excellent organizational, communication, customer service, and teamwork skills required; ability to multi-task is essential; EMR experience preferred and working knowledge of Microsoft office applications required.
