Computed Tomography Technologist - Emergency Department at Yale New Haven Health
The successful candidate will have extensive experience in computed tomography scanning and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. As a key member of our radiology team, you will be responsible for operating the CT scanner and ensuring its effective utilization. You will prepare patients for scans, provide necessary contrast injections, and maintain safety and confidentiality standards in alignment with hospital protocols. Job Summary This role requires formal training in radiology technology, hands-on experience with special procedures, and ongoing commitment to patient care and departmental operations. You will participate in technical duties directly involved with the CT scanner, including developing, initiating, and monitoring procedures for its effective utilization. In direction of departmental protocols and working under the supervision of the radiologist, you will give IV contrast according to guidelines set forth within the department for specific procedures. Key Responsibilities:
- 1. CT Scanning
- 1.1 Prepares patient in scanner for proper position.

- 3. Equipment Maintenance
- 3.1 Maintains safe functioning, operation and cleanliness of CT equipment.

- 4.1 Assumes responsibility for the safety and well-being of all patients.
- 5. Contrast Injection
- 5.1 Demonstrates knowledge of techniques and procedures and correct use of Medrad Stellant Injector.
- 6. Department Support
- 6.1 Assists the daily operations of department.
