Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate MRI Technologist to join our team at Yale New Haven Health. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality diagnostic scans for our patients.
Responsibilities
- Patient Education: Provide clear explanations of exams, complete IV contrast worksheets, and take allergy histories.
- Room Preparation: Ensure rooms are prepared with clean linens, loaded and armed power injectors, and maintained IV start proficiency.
- Technical Expertise: Acquire high-quality diagnostic scans by adjusting technical factors for body habits, patient age, and weight.
- Facilitate Patient Flow: Prioritize and add-on patients as needed, including inpatients, emergency room patients, and urgent outpatients from doctors' offices.
- Maintain Accurate Records: Complete paperwork and patient documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
Requirements
- ARRT registration and CT certification.
- Current Connecticut State license in Radiographer.
- BLS required.
- One to two years of experience in CT department preferred.
