Job Summary:
The Diagnostic Imaging Specialist performs a variety of radiologic procedures, focusing on mammography, ensuring patient comfort and safety. This role involves obtaining clinical information, producing diagnostic quality images, and maintaining effective communication with healthcare team members.
Responsibilities- Obtains and assesses a patient's pertinent clinical information.
- Consistently produces diagnostic quality radiographs by using proper technical factors and patient positioning.
- Facilitates efficient patient flow.
- Completes, in an accurate and timely manner, all patient documentation.
Must be a high school graduate or have a G.E.D; satisfactorily completed a formal radiologic technology program in an AMA-approved school and meets requirements for registry by the ARRT. Two to three months of on-the-job experience gained through an accredited radiology technology program is required.
