Job Description:
This role involves performing critical interpretive and technical functions to ensure accurate radiologic diagnoses. The successful candidate will be responsible for updating patient information, operating complex radiographic equipment, and ensuring safety and compliance in a clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing various tasks including updating patient information, operating complex radiographic equipment, and ensuring safety and compliance.
- Using extensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and disease processes to properly position patients for maximum diagnostic yield.
- Interviewing patients and reviewing available clinical data to identify potential contradictions for procedures.
- Operating highly complex radiographic equipment within the radiology department, selecting technical factors to ensure high-quality images.
Requirements:
- A graduate degree from an approved two-year program in radiology technology.
- ARRT certification or registry eligibility with the ability to obtain certification within three months of hire.
- A minimum of one year of experience in radiologic technology or a related field.
- R.I. licensure is required.
