Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Radiologic Technologist to join our team in the Emergency Department at Yale New Haven Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for producing high-quality radiographic images using complex imaging equipment.
About the Role
In this role, you will work closely with healthcare staff to enhance departmental workflow and service excellence. You will also have the opportunity to mentor junior staff and contribute to various educational activities to further enhance professional knowledge within the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a wide variety of technical and professional duties utilizing complex diagnostic imaging equipment.
- Follow routine protocols and refer to source documents to ensure correct exams are performed.
- Assist schedulers, physicians, nursing, and other appropriate staff with scheduling, obtaining requisitions or pre-authorization, patient preparation instructions, and other exam-related communications.
- Provide quality and compassionate patient care to ensure cooperation, safety, and satisfaction.
Requirements
- Graduation from an A.M.A. accredited program in radiography.
- Three years of recent radiography experience, with at least one year at Greenwich Hospital.
- Demonstrated above-average technical skills and excellent communication skills.
- RT(R) certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), Connecticut State License, and CPR certification preferred.
