Job Description:
The Registered Nurse Care Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the physical and psychosocial needs of patients are met throughout their care continuum. This position involves overseeing non-RN staff, providing patient education, assisting in procedures, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assess patients' physical and psychosocial conditions on an ongoing basis
- Document plans, patient understanding, and outcomes
- Provide education to patients verbally and in writing
- Assist providers in intra-office procedures
- Maintain a sterile field
- Comply with regulatory bodies, hospital policies, and standing orders
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- 2-3 years nursing experience, urology preferred
- Recent ambulatory/medical office experience preferred
- Proficient in using computer software for electronic patient records
- Ability to use internet for literature searches
