The Clinical Social Worker III a licensed, experienced professional who is the clinical expert in the assessment and treatment of patients, families and social work consultation to the interdisciplinary teams in a variety of inpatient and ambulatory settings in the Yale New Haven Health System. The Clinical Social Worker III possesses clinical leadership abilities and is knowledgeable and skillful in communication and the treatment process, and provides services to the pediatric, adolescent, adult, geriatric or dual diagnosed patients/families and staff in the Yale New Haven Hospital network. The scope of practice includes but is not limited to diagnostic assessment, coordination of care, practice improvement, staff supervision, counseling, psychotherapy, brief treatment, teaching/mentoring, mental health consultation, and/or other project/task force participation as assigned by supervisor. The Clinical Social Worker III will work collaboratively with members of the health care teams throughout the organization.

EDUCATION
Master's Degree from an accredited school of social work.
Experience
Clinical Social Worker II (LCSW II) with one year of supervisory experience and five years of experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (CT)/ Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (RI); or three years of supervisory experience and five years of experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (CT)/ Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (RI)
LICENSURE
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) from the State of Connecticut, or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) from the State of Rhode Island, or those holding licenses from other states, will need an 'endorsement' and meet the State of Connecticut or State of Rhode Island license requirements.
Special Skills
Ability to perform independently and provide clinical practice in a health care setting; provide daily oversight to staff and participate in teaching within the department. Must have computer experience and knowledge of electronic medical record keeping, word processing, spreadsheet, and data entry systems.
