Job Description

Main Responsibilities:
- Performs all diagnostic radiographs and associated film processing following physicians' orders and managers' directions according to departmental and hospital policies.
- Takes into consideration departmental and hospital policies and procedures when identifying the type of examination required to achieve desired results.
- Cleans mammography equipment after each patient or before each patient, including all patient dressing areas.
- Provides assistance to physicians.
Quality Control Functions:
- Performs quality control and assurance functions as needed.
- Conducts daily warm-up of x-ray tube prior to first scheduled exam and checks equipment for malfunctions or misalignments.
Department Operations:
- Contributes to productivity and efficient operation of the department.
- Promotes Greenwich Hospital Patient/Guest Relations Program.
Performance Evaluation:
- Is responsible for submitting performance evaluations to supervisors.
- Submits pertinent information regarding performance throughout the year, including letters from patients, conferences/training programs, and in-services attended/presented.
Qualifications:
- Currently registered by AART and holds advanced certification in mammography.
- Has 15 hours of mammography continuing education during the past 3 years.
- ARRT License, Advanced Certification in Mammography, and current CT state License.
