As a member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting physicians with patient care, rooming patients, clerical tasks, and more. You will also schedule appointments and manage charts, providing information to patients about the practice services and maintaining a positive image.

Responsibilities:
1. Patient Care Responsibilities:
Identify yourself to the patient and their family, explaining your role in the care delivery team.
2. Administrative Responsibilities:
Send or receive patient medical records and abstract new patient records into the electronic health record system.
3. Environmental Responsibilities:
Set up instruments and equipment according to department protocol.
4. Organizational Duties:
Maintain patient autonomy, confidentiality, and dignity.
5. Additional Responsibilities:
Assist with chaperone duties for patient medical procedures as needed.
Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Graduation from an accredited medical assistant certificate program is preferred.
Experience:
A minimum of 1 year of experience as a medical assistant in a primary care or specialist office is preferred.
Certification:
Medical Assisting Certification is preferred.
Skills:
Excellent organizational, communication, customer service, and teamwork skills are required. Ability to multi-task is essential.
Additional Requirements:
EMR experience is preferred, and working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is required. CPR certification is preferred. Bilingual is preferred but not required.
Physical Demands:
The ability to complete work in a timely fashion is required.
