Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians/providers with patient care, including rooming patients, clerical, environmental, and organizational tasks.
- Perform administrative duties as assigned, such as sending/receiving patient medical records and abstracting new patient records into EPIC.
- Set up instruments and equipment according to department protocol.
- May assist and/or perform chaperone duties for patient medical procedures as needed.
Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited medical assistant certificate program.
- Certification/Registration (CCMA/CMA/AAMA/RMA) preferred, or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 1 year private practice medical assistant experience is preferred, preferably in a primary care or specialist office.
- Medical Assisting Certification is preferred.
- Experience with EMR systems and Microsoft Office applications is required.
- Bilingual capability is desirable but not essential.
