Job Summary:
The Medical Imaging Specialist operates MRI equipment to conduct diagnostic imaging procedures while ensuring high-quality patient care at Yale New Haven Health. This role requires a mentally flexible individual who can effectively interact with coworkers, students, radiologists, and other healthcare workers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Consistently produces diagnostic quality radiographs by using proper technical factors and patient positioning.
- Operates all equipment properly and efficiently, and under safe radiation guidelines.
- Meets performance expectations for customer service, teamwork, resource utilization, and staff and self development as outlined in performance review.
- Performs other duties as assigned or directed to ensure smooth operation of the department/unit.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- A high school graduate or having a GED/GMRI certification is required.
- Knowledge of radiologic technology, patient care, diagnostic imaging, MRI procedures, and healthcare principles is necessary.
