Job Description
- Operate advanced imaging equipment to produce high-quality ultrasound images for expert interpretation by radiologists.
- Perform efficient ultrasound exams to assist in patient diagnostics.
- Adhere to routine protocols and physician directives to minimize repeat examinations.
- Maintain accurate medical records and contribute to departmental operations.
- Engage in continuous learning to enhance skills and contribute to training others.
- Foster a secure environment for patients and staff by following safety procedures and protocols.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of diagnostic sonography; an AS degree is preferred but not required.
- Demonstrated technical competence in routine sonography practices.
- ARRT Sonography certification or RDMS ABD certification within one year; OB certification desirable.
- Proficiency in routine ultrasound imaging techniques and strong computer/PACS application knowledge.
- Excellent organizational and communication/customer service skills.
- Able to lift 40 lbs and push portable US equipment.
