Role Overview
As a Medical Recovery Specialist, you will play a critical role in our team's efforts to provide high-quality patient care and improve health outcomes. Your expertise and leadership skills will enable you to supervise and mentor other nursing staff, develop and implement effective care plans, and promote a culture of safety and quality within the organization.
Responsibilities and Requirements
- Develops and implements comprehensive care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Provides clinical supervision of certified nursing assistants providing direct resident care and gives direction to licensed practical nurses.
- Conducts assessments, develops care plans, administers medications, and trains nursing assistants.
- Ensures compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations within the assigned unit.
- A Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or Science is preferred.
- At least one year of work experience in rehabilitative, psychiatric, or geriatric nursing is also preferred.
- The ability to maintain standards of care rendered at Grimes Center accordance with the State of Connecticut Public Health Code, the governing body of the facility, and the State and Federal agencies is essential.
