Responsibilities
- Update patient information in the IS/RIS System.
- Complete necessary information for interpretation on patient forms.
- Report equipment malfunctions to the manager or Bio-Med.
- Use knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and disease processes to position patients safely and effectively.
- Interview patients and review clinical data to identify potential contradictions for procedures.
- Operate complex radiographic equipment, selecting technical factors for high-quality images using the A.L.A.R.A. standard.
- Perform clerical duties, including verification of information and exams performed.
- Attend required safety training programs and describe general safety responsibilities.
Must be a graduate of an approved two-year program in Radiology Technology, certified by the American Registry of Radiology Technology or registry eligible within three months of hire. Requires a minimum of one year of experience, with new graduates considered. Must possess a RI license and ARRT certification or obtain within three months of hire.
