As a Recovery Nurse in our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of patient care while maintaining a safe and efficient environment. You will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and evaluate all direct resident care and initiate changes or corrective action as necessary.
- Assess the patient data collected by the licensed practical nurse.
- Administer medications (including IV, enteral) and treatments per the physician's order and facility policy.
- Counsel nursing assistants, licensed practical nurses, and recommend disciplinary action when necessary.
Requirements and Qualifications
- A Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or Science is preferred.
- At least one year of work experience in rehabilitative, psychiatric, or geriatric nursing is also preferred.
- The ability to maintain standards of care rendered at Grimes Center accordance with the State of Connecticut Public Health Code, the governing body of the facility, and the State and Federal agencies is essential.
