About the Role
The Mammography Technologist plays a vital role in ensuring proper radiologic diagnosis while prioritizing patient care. This involves operating complex radiographic equipment, ensuring accurate positioning of patients, and maintaining safety standards in the imaging process.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate highly complex radiographic equipment within the radiology department, including suites and bedside settings.
- Select technical factors to ensure high-quality images using A.U.
- Interview patients, review clinical data from charts, and alert parties to potential contradictions for procedures.
- Perform various clerical duties, including verification of information and exams performed using CR, DR, and PACs.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved two-year program in Radiology Technology.
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiology Technology or registry eligible, with certification obtained within 3 months of hire.
- Attends all required safety training programs and understands responsibilities related to general safety, department/service safety, and specific job-related hazards.
