A Radiologic Technologist plays a crucial role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients. This involves utilizing CAT Scan equipment to ensure accuracy and quality of images while delivering patient-centered care.

Responsibilities
- Performs warm-up calibration procedures to ready scanners for patient imaging.
- Sets up and operates CAT Scan equipment to ensure accuracy and picture quality.
- Selects and operates equipment as directed for patient exams.
- Obtains pertinent clinical information from patients and charts, explains procedures, and encourages cooperation through quality patient care.
- Consults with radiologists in charge for required exams and set-ups prior to patient imaging.
- Schedules and coordinates all patient scheduling, preparation, and arrangements for patient transport.
- Responsible for keeping work areas clean and well-stocked and maintaining equipment.
- Maintains pertinent section logs and performs clerical duties as needed.
- Administers I.V. contrast.
- Demonstrates basic leadership skills and professional growth.
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of three years experience as R.T. (R) Proven Cat Scan experience preferred.
LICENSURE: Registered R.T. (R) Licensed in the State of Connecticut.
Additional Information
HOURS: Full time; Overnights, Sunday-Thursday.
