Radiology technologists play a vital role in medical diagnosis and treatment by performing diagnostic imaging examinations. They operate complex radiologic equipment, ensuring patient safety and comfort, while maintaining high standards of image quality.

Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic imaging examinations to assist in medical diagnosis and treatment.
- Operate highly complex radiographic equipment, selecting technical factors to ensure high-quality images using the A.L.A.R.A. (As low as reasonably achievable) standard.
- Interview patients and review available clinical data from charts to alert any party to possible contradictions for procedure.
- Verify information, including reading and verifying physician-written orders, and exams performed using CR, DR, and PACS immediately after completing exams.
- Attend all required safety training programs and describe responsibilities related to general safety, department/service safety, and specific job-related hazards.
EDUCATION: Graduate from an AMA-approved school of Radiology Technology. Certification by the American Registry of Radiology Technology or registry eligible, obtain within 3 months of hire. EXPERIENCE: Requires a minimum of one (1) year of experience. Will consider new grads. LICENSURE: Must possess RI license. ARRT certification or obtain within 3 months of hire.
