Clinical Practice
This position involves:
- Collecting Level II* patient data for new patients using established assessment forms prior to initial visits to assess patient/family current and projected future needs
- Developing patient/family education plans based on assessment findings relevant to teaching learning topics, styles, and identification of special needs and preferences
- Alerting Tumor Board Coordinators to place patients on listing for treatment planning sessions and facilitating patient participation
The RN also attends treatment planning sessions and documents treatment plans formulated.
