Job Responsibilities
- Participates in technical duties directly involved with the CT scanner including developing, initiating, and monitoring procedures for the effective utilization of this unit.
- Gives IV contrast according to the guidelines set forth within the department for specific procedures under the direction and supervision of the radiologist.
Equipment Competencies
- Maintains safe functioning, operation, and cleanliness of CT equipment.
- Assumes responsibility for the safety and well-being of all patients.
- Assists in the daily operations of the department.
Requirements
- Requires formal training in radiology technology from an AMA-approved program.
- One year of exposure or training in CT to be proficient.
- Registration by the ARRT (R) is required; if not RT(CT) certified, obtain registration in Cat Scan within twelve months of hiring.
