An X-ray Technician performs a variety of radiologic procedures to produce diagnostic images, ensuring compliance with safety guidelines and compassion for patients.

Responsibilities- Maintain mental flexibility when dealing with coworkers, students, radiologists, and other healthcare workers.
- Obtain and assess a patient's pertinent clinical information.
- Produce diagnostic quality radiographs by using proper technical factors and patient positioning.
- Facilitate efficient patient flow.
- Complete all patient documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Show empathy and compassion to patients at all times.
- Operate equipment properly and efficiently, and under safe radiation guidelines.
- Perform venopuncture for contrast injections, and assess vital signs as needed.
- Maintain good communication amongst team members and other departments to maximize excellent patient care.
- Meet performance expectations for customer service, teamwork, resource utilization, and staff and self development.
We are looking for a highly skilled X-ray Technician who has completed a formal Radiologic Technology program in an AMA-approved school and meets requirements for registry by the ARRT.
Experience gained through an accredited radiology technology program is preferred.
A current Connecticut State License in Radiologic Technology or the ability to obtain licensure as soon as they become registered is required.
BLS certification is also required.
