What are the responsibilities and job description for the Postdoctoral Researcher position at Yale School of Medicine?
The McConnell lab at Yale Liver Center is seeking a dedicated and highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to explore novel mechanisms of inflammation and fibrosis in liver disease.
Our laboratory is interested in the role of platelets in communicating with cells in the liver sinusoids, particularly liver sinusoidal endothelial cells, to mediate disease pathogenesis. We utilize primary patient cells, animal models, and advanced imaging techniques to study the molecular mechanisms by which this occurs. Our ultimate goal is to define new therapeutic options for patients with liver disease based on elucidating these mechanisms.
Successful candidates should have backgrounds in cell and molecular biology, biochemistry, vascular biology, hematology, or other related fields. Individuals with a track record of publications relating to liver disease, animal models, platelet cell biology, and recent PhD graduates are strongly encouraged to apply. The lab is part of the Yale Liver Center, which is a rich environment for training and collaboration.
Interested applicants should send a CV and a statement of interest to matthew.mcconnell@yale.edu
