Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant with a warm and friendly demeanor.
- Manage the seating chart and ensure that tables are filled efficiently while maintaining a smooth flow of guests.
- Take reservations over the phone and through the restaurant’s POS system, ensuring accuracy in guest details.
- Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to coordinate guest seating and special requests.
- Assist in managing wait times by providing accurate estimates to guests and ensuring their comfort while they wait.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area.
- Handle guest inquiries and concerns promptly, ensuring a positive dining experience.
- Promote a welcoming atmosphere that reflects our commitment to hospitality and guest relations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Toast POS, is a plus.
- Strong phone etiquette skills for handling reservations and guest inquiries.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage positively with guests and team members.
- A passion for customer service and creating memorable experiences for guests.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a busy restaurant environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
