What are the responsibilities and job description for the Host position at Yama (Waverly)?
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant
- Escort guests to their designated tables and provide them with menus
- Assist in seating guests during busy periods and manage waitlists
- Answer phone calls and provide information or take reservations
- Ensure the host/host station is clean and organized
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and requests in a professional and courteous manner
- Maintain knowledge of the restaurant's offerings, promotions, and special events
Skills:
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred
- Strong guest service skills with a friendly and welcoming demeanor
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with restaurant operations and procedures
As a host/host, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive dining experience for our guests.
