2nd Shift Die Cast Quality Technician
Job Summary: This position is responsible for verifying quality of parts cast, machined or assembled by
YNA, and to investigate root causes behind quality problems and recommend effective
countermeasures.
Essential Functions
1. Verifies quality of manufactured parts using various gauges (height, plug, Go/No Go, cylinder,
radius), Pin jigs, Mics, Depth Dial Indicators, Calipers, Surf Tester, and Contracer.
2. Analysis of abnormal parts to determine if part can be salvaged or put on Hold for review.
3. Assists with Investigations to determine the Root Cause behind quality problems.
4. Assists with in-house training activities by leading change point control training.
5. Monitors sort activities to ensure guidelines are met, that the sort is conducted properly and all
suspect parts are contained.
6. Communicates Quality Control to ensure quality parts are being supplied and delivered.
7. Monitors that Test Parts are processed and delivered to Machining.
8. Pigeon Hole check minimum 1 time per shift, mark parts with Red Permanent Marker.

3. Continuously seeks to improve processes and procedures.
4. Promotes a safe working environment for all Associates.
5. Assists Team Leader in visual Quality Checks.
Qualifications
Requirements
Education: High School diploma or equivalency is preferred.
Experience: This position requires experience in a high volume manufacturing or production
environment in which high quality standards are maintained.
Skills: Position requires specific knowledge of standard inspection tools and the ability to learn the use of
tools such as calipers, micrometers, gages, spectrometers, microscopes, and Contracer. Additionally,
computer, interpersonal, time-management, and organizational skills are also required.
Working Conditions: The position requires the ability to work in a manufacturing environment, walk and
stand on concrete floors for extended periods of time and withstand temperatures of up to 120 degrees,
lift up to 40 pounds, perform repetitive keystrokes on a continual basis, and occasionally bend, kneel,
twist, and reach.
