Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for maintaining facility and related equipment in multiple production areas.
- Install, modify and repair manufacturing machines and equipment, plant support equipment, facility structure and grounds.
- Troubleshoot maintenance and process problems and developing preventive/corrective actions, as needed.
- Progressively development new skills within the maintenance role (continuous improvement)
- Support manufacturing to achieve safety, productivity and quality targets through process design, optimization projects and Kaizen initiatives.
- Must maintain and improve 5S (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain) activities.
- Lead/Coordinate projects and work with others in a team environment.
- Participate regularly in safety meetings to evaluate the effectiveness of programs; developing and participating in improvement processes, driving adoption across the team.
- Periodically deliver multidepartment presentations on maintenance activities.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Good hand-eye coordination required.
- Must interact positively and effectively with co-workers, subordinates and supervisors
- Ability to lead equipment downtime and energy use reduction initiatives.
- Ability to provide required Autonomous Maintenance to Engineering/Operations for FCS (Facility Control Standards).
- Industrial Electrical Proficient (Successful completion of established electrical exam)
- Proven problem-solving skills using production and equipment data.
- Enough physical ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs. repeatedly); standing and walking for prolonged periods of time; climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, working overhead and operating motorized equipment. Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently without supervision.
- Flexibility to handle multiple and changing priorities.
- High School Diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) required.
- 7 years minimum electrical and mechanical maintenance experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment with hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanics required.
- Basic computer skills required, including Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
- Welding and fabrication experience, preferred.
- Welding and/or electrical certification preferred.
