Position Summary
- Responsible for all aspects of quality assurance in the designated area, warranty quality improvement, and product launch (new & changed products) support.
- Interfaces with all of the YMMC functions - YMUS and YMC to develop quality improvement plan and manage.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for managing final inspection, planning process audits at the assigned processes, managing the process quality performance data, managing and coordinating problem solving activities through PDCA cycle.
- Responsible for managing resources
- Responsible for management of developing process controls (Control Plan), SPC, and other statistical methods within the assigned processes.
- Responsible for management of developing and implementing quality metrics to monitor process (fabrication & assembly)
- Responsible for warranty quality improvement.
- Responsible for managing the RE to analyze the warranty data.
- Responsible for championing the warranty quality improvement activities through PDCA cycle.
- Responsible for new product launch quality.
- Responsible for managing RE (Reliability Engineers) to develop and implement the evaluation testing.
- Responsible for managing the problem solving of the new products
- Responsible for management of implementation and execution of all ISO-9001 procedures and strive for simplification.
- Responsible for management of developing, documenting and reviewing quality systems, standards, and procedures as required.
- Responsible for all aspects of human resource management in area (Direct Reports: All Quality Engineers, Reliability Engineers and QA Supervisors. In Direct Reports: All Inspectors)
- Responsible for developing budget plan (both original and re-budget)
- Responsible for developing the Quality Assurance Improvement Plan through MBOP and MTP procedure, and managing the activities with resources provided.
- Responsible for championing the Monthly Quality Meeting for area, supporting SQA Unit Dept when required
Education / Experience:
- 4 year technical degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in Quality Assurance Management.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks/assignments in the very fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated application of engineering skills and problem solving techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills with applied experience
