Job Description

Role Title: Warehouse Lead

Senior Purpose: The lead assists the department supervisor by organizing and monitoring workflow and employees. He or she assists the warehouse supervisor in daily operations. This individual supports the department and oversight people, processes, systems and materials within the receiving/finished goods and shipping area.

Reports to: Materials & Quality Manager

Level of Work: This position must be able to lead various processes within the department, varying degrees of importance, difficulty and time frames. This person should be able to plan and work on short-term initiatives as well as longer term projects. Additionally, this role requires the need to be assessing and proactively improving processes as well as solving problems as they occur.

Warehouse Lead Job Duties

• Accomplishes department results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job
• Lead the warehouse team on daily tasks and goals
• Help optimize warehouse through continuous improvement.
• Help streamline Inventory Receipts, transactions and material issues to Production and Finished Goods.
• Supports and enforces systems, policies and
• Maintains staff engaged by orienting, and training, developing personal growth
• Maintains workflow by monitoring steps of the receiving process and equipment
• Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization
• Ensures operation of equipment by informing the supervisor.
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, maintaining compliance with established policies and
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and position required trainings.

Required Proficiencies:

The ideal candidate should possess the following traits and be proficient in the following skills or disciplines:

• High School Diploma
• 2 years manufacturing experience preferred
• Leading Processes
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing practices is a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Microsoft Office Suite of products including Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and
