What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Associate, Cashier - Hardware Store position at Yamashiro Building Supply, Inc.?
We are looking for motivated, hard-working individuals to join our lumber, hardware, and lawn and garden team. Successful associates are team-oriented, helpful, professional, and eager to provide the excellent customer service. Prior experience with home projects and knowledge in outdoor power equipment preferred.
Responsibilities and Duties
Daily
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging customers on-site, and by being courteous on the phone.
- Actively learn about products and home projects to better assist customers with their general inquiries.
- Accurately replenish merchandise on the sales floor.
Bi-Weekly to Monthly
- Participate in trainings
- Other duties as assigned by department leads and managers
Qualifications and Skills
Required:
- Reliable mode of transportation to and from work
- Self-motivated with minimal needs for supervision
- Able to efficiently multi-task and prioritize duties
- Strong communication and people skills both internally among team members, and externally with customers and vendors
Physical Requirements:
- Climb short ladders
- Stand/walk for 8-10 hours
Hourly wage: DOE
