The Sr Accountant is responsible for a range of accounting and bookkeeping support functions, including but not limited to compiling, analyzing, and reporting financial data, as well as performing audits and resolving discrepancies for our third-party services.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepares and/or reviews and approves staff journal entries.
- Reviews and approves monthly prepared G/L account reconciliations.
- Complete month-end close duties accurately and timely (e.g. recording, performing variance analysis, etc.).
- Proactively identify and implement process improvements.
- Responsible for various function-based accounting activities (e.g. revenue deferrals, recording of legal expenses, marketing, etc.).
- Prepare/review reconciliations for various balance sheet accounts.
- Analyze balances to ensure accuracy. Identify and communicate unreconciled items to management.
- Support accounting management with special projects and ad hoc requests.
- Partner with business leaders across the entire organization to develop and model key growth driver assumptions, understand the issues facing their operations, gain insight and knowledge that could affect forecasts, and perform analyses to provide data-driven insights for decision-making
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Minimum 4 years of accounting and/or finance experience.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Advanced understanding and knowledge in accounting software (i.e. QuickBooks, NetSuite is a big plus, etc.).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written skills in both English and Mandarin, with the ability to effectively communicate across various organizational levels.
- Thorough knowledge of general ledger accounting and account reconciliation
- Remarkable detail-orientation and problem-solving capabilities.
- Accounting and/or finance experience in the eCommerce and/or Consumer Product Goods (CPG) industry.
Salary : $70,000 - $82,000
