Yampa Sandwich Co. Job Description and Responsibilities Title: Crew Member
Reports to: Kitchen Supervisor/General Manager
Summary of Position:
Crew member is an entry level position where they will learn the fundamentals of Yampa Sandwich Company. Assembly and plating of sandwiches, salads and soups timely and correctly for the customer and maintaining a clean, sanitized station.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Must be timely and willing to follow the lead and learn from the Kitchen supervisor.
- Must have complete knowledge of the sandwich and salad menu and understand what all products are.
- Must know how to construct all sandwiches and salads on the menu accurately and be able to complete each unit in under 2 minutes.
- Responsible for cleaning, rotating and stocking the kitchen and sandwich stations.
- Responsible for the cleanliness of all dishes, equipment, refrigeration and tools.
- Must have a full understanding of portioning control procedures and know how to safely break down, clean and sanitize workstations.
- Must learn procedures for proper customer service, order taking and cash transactions using the POS system.
- Learn completely the preparation of all cold items on the menu including but not limited to salads, sauces, vinaigrettes, and cold veggies.
- Responsible for cleaning and re-stocking the dining room.
- Responsible for cleaning and maintaining restrooms.
- Responsible for maintaining trash and recycling stations making sure the station is clean, tidy and fully functioning.
- Responsible for monitoring and refilling of sanitation buckets.
- Responsible for cleanliness and maintenance of soda fountain.
Qualifications:
- Be at least 14 years of age.
- Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language of the restaurant’s kitchen.
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours)
- Be able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must have the stamina and availability to work the agreed upon schedule.
- Must complete basic food safety training course.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
