Job Summary
The primary purpose of the Maintenance Crew Leader is to perform landscape maintenance tasks in a safe manner, while meeting or exceeding company quality, production and customer service standards, in accordance with Yard-Nique's high quality and customer service standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform assigned property maintenance contract requirements in a timely manner, according to maintenance production expectations, customer service standards, and managerial direction on a daily basis, with minimal supervision.
- Promote a safe work environment; always understand and model company safety policies (PPE) and procedures and report any accidents and/or unsafe conditions to management immediately.
- Supervise the proper and safe operation of crew truck and trailer, hand tools, and maintenance equipment including: ride-on, walk-behind and push mowers, edgers, trimmers, pruning tools, blowers, thatchers, overseeders, etc. Ensure all equipment is secured at all times.
- Perform basic level preventative maintenance on equipment such as checking fluid levels, oil changes, tire pressure, blades, etc. to ensure safe operation.
- Ensure that assigned crews mow, edge, weed, water and prune properties, including hardscapes and beds, appropriately and according to schedule
- Report any damaged or missing trees or plant material; communicate additional needs from detail crews as appropriate.
- Ensure fertilizers and pest control techniques are completed properly and timely, as appropriate.
- Complete and process all necessary job paperwork, including Equipment Inventory Forms, Safety Sheets and employee Time Sheets.
- Work all assigned hours; confirm that assigned crew time worked is accurate according to time reporting procedures. Report any discrepancies to Account Manager.
- Interact with Account Managers, subcontractors, customers and Crew Members in a professional and courteous manner and demonstrate appropriate dress and conduct expectations at all times.
