MAINTENANCE OPERATIONS MANAGER
The Maintenance Operations Manager upholds the mission of the company, “Providing outdoor environments that enrich people’s lives” by serving assistant to the Branch Manager. The individual in this position facilitates all operations and assures crews are meeting hour goals while also completing work deemed important by the operations manager. This position acts as the intermediary between customers, vendors, subcontractors, employees, and the Branch Manager. This exempt position reports to the Branch Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet the requirements of the landscape maintenance division’s annual budgets for revenue, overhead and profit.
- Daily Crew Sendoff and Schedules.
- Account Management - Develop a secondary relationship with clients to enhance the customer experience and substantiate the Crew Leaders responsibilities.
- Job Handoff – Attend the Job Handoff Meeting weekly with crew leaders and designers to assure we are making the right decisions at the right time and to ensure all details of the job are known prior to starting the job.
- Crew Optimization - Train and develop crews under his/her direction. Meet daily to review, revise and /or set daily plans with each crew so they can stay on schedule.
- Daily Crew Planning to be completed with the Branch Manager each day.
- To be done daily, planning out the current day and the next day to ensure we are always a day ahead in planning
- Quality Control to ensure all jobs are being completed to the job plan.
- Enhancements – Responsible for identifying and communicating with the account manager through email/photos/text conversation. When applicable have enough detail so that the account manager can produce a quote without visiting the site.
- Warranty - Ownership of the Warranty process from start to finish. Communicating with clients and documenting in shared documents for the rest of the staff to see.
- Pick up materials and equipment when necessary.
- Notify the Branch Manager when common stock items need ordered.
- Notify the Branch Manager of additional materials/equipment needed on jobs.
- Ensure compliance with company’s safety and behavior policies and procedures on landscape jobsites.
- Maintain tool inventory for each crew.
Other responsibilities
- Advance the company’s image through involvement in an organization that supports company goals.
- Assist with shop/ yard duties as required by Branch Manager.
- Maintain active involvement in a community service organization.
- Execute other assignments as directed by Branch Manager.
- Snow removal and management as required.
