Branch Operations Supervisor/Manager
Limerick, Pennsylvania
A Branch Operations Supervisor/Manager oversees and directs plant operations and affiliated transfer locations in accordance with corporate policy and procedures. The position requires managing warehouse operations, fleet, and maintenance. The supervisor/manager is fully accountable for safety, compliance, staffing, efficiency, and quality.
The level of the position (supervisor or manager) will be determined based on the candidate's experience.
Responsibilities
- SAFETY FIRST! Ensure operations and drivers are always operating safely.
- Direct and oversee all operations and staff to ensure a high level of productivity and quality.
- Meet processing and delivery commitments as specified by customers.
- Manage commercial vehicles in compliance with DOT and FMCSA regulations.
- Manage preventative equipment and building maintenance programs.
- Obtain bids to hire the most cost-effective and highest quality subcontractors.
- Manage inventory and conduct cycle counts.
- Prepare for and participate in safety and quality audits.
- Work all shifts to monitor and assess safety, compliance, productivity, and associate performance.
- Maintain a safe and clean facility (interior and exterior).
- Identify safety improvements and take appropriate action.
- Support and enforce company policies, procedures, programs and initiatives.
- Plan and coordinate workforce in accordance with business needs.
- Conduct interviews, hire, train and motivate associates.
- Conduct performance evaluations.
- Perform the duties of all direct reports and assist as needed.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as directed by the Branch Manager.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent. College degree strongly preferred.
- Minimum 5 years leadership experience in manufacturing, distribution or like industry.
- DOT/FMCSA and experience directly related to the duties of the position strongly preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- Ability to analyze, problem solve and execute.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient using Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to pass a human performance evaluation to meet physical requirements of the job (lifting up to 70 lbs., pushing, pulling, etc.)
