Job Responsibilities
Yarde Metals is looking for a Class B Driver to join our Fleet & Operations Team. A Class B Truck Driver safely operates a commercial truck to transport and deliver material to customers.
- SAFETY FIRST!
- Safely operate a commercial vehicle.
- Load and unload material.
- Secure loads and assure they are within weight limits.
- Verify material condition and quantities during the loading/unloading process.
- Report vehicle maintenance needs.
- Report overages, shortages, and damaged material.
- Assist with loading and unloading material at points of delivery and pickup
- Comply with DOT/FMCSA regulations.
- Maintain a clean driving record.
- Perform additional tasks as directed by supervisor or group leader.
- Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements & Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
- Valid, current Class B driver's license and medical card.
- Clean MVR.
- Must be able to operate an automatic transmission.
- Knowledge of how to operate a manual transmission is preferred but not required.
- Six months minimum experience strongly preferred.
- Capable of meeting lifting and physical requirements of position.
- Willingness to work required overtime.
