Position Summary:
The Mowing Crew Member implements all post-landscape-construction mowing and maintenance activities on the job site in accordance with pre-established work schedules, specifications, procedures, and standards of quality.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Participates in the pre-maintenance conference with the Crew Leader to get familiar with the job site.
- Safe and efficient operation of all equipment and hand tools.
- Cooperates with customer's personnel for timely project completion.
- Recommends to the Crew Leader any changes in methods, schedules and procedures to improve the job.
- Maintains a close relationship with the Crew Leader and fellow workers to ensure proper delegation of job duties.
- Ensures accurate time sheet payroll reporting, and other job records.
- Maintains strict punctuality at starting and quitting times, break and lunch periods.
- Knows and strictly observes all safety rules and ensures that fellow workers observe all safety rules.
- Alerts the Crew Leader of any potential problems anticipated or observed.
- Trains and evaluates assigned subordinates.
- Perform high quality, technically proficient work to top industry standards.
- Ensures that all tools, equipment, supplies and materials are properly secured at all times to avoid loss, damage, or injury.
- Maintains neat, organized housekeeping standards on the job, truck bed, truck cab, locker, and assigned field area.
- Observes the Company's dress standards.
- ls customer oriented, and highly aware of good public relations.
- Represents the Company with a high degree of professionalism and business decorum.
- Performs any other assignments as requested by the Crew Leader.
- Maintains technical proficiency by keeping abreast of industry trends and developments and their potential effect on current and future operations.
- Know and observes all Company policies and procedures.
- Learns the job of the next immediate Supervisor.
- Snow removal job duties as assigned in the Winter months are required; on-call 24 hours a day.
Minimum Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license; preferred but not required.
- One years’ experience; preferred but not required.
- Ability to push, pull lift or move up to 50 pounds unassisted.
- Insurability and ability to operate a company vehicle

Salary: $16.50-$20/hourly
Equipment Used: Hand tools, motorized tools, skid steers, small machines, PPE
Work Schedule: 7:30a-5p (or until daily route is completed), M-F, with overtime and weekend hours as scheduled by the Production Manager; hours fluctuate based on seasonal needs.
Work Conditions: sit, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; walk on uneven surfaces; push and pull equipment; lift up to 70 lbs independently; use arms to reach and extend equipment continuously for 8-16 hours/daily. Exposure to all outdoor weather conditions. Exposure to animals, poisonous plants, and insects. Exposure to chemicals using appropriate PPE.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.50 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
