Yards Brewing Company is looking for a Territory Manager to lead sales execution, distributor management, and brand growth in a defined territory. This role is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with key distributor personnel and retail accounts (on-premise and off-premise) to drive sales, expand distribution, and enhance brand visibility.

Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Account Management
- Achieve volume and distribution targets in the assigned territory and 75 key accounts.
- Execute a regular call frequency for key on-premise and off-premise accounts to build relationships and drive growth.
- Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual business reviews with distributor partners and top retail accounts.
- Expand brand presence and product placement within key markets through strategic sales efforts.
- Monitor and maintain beer inventory levels to ensure core and seasonal products are well-stocked in accounts.
- Utilize VIP sales data to identify opportunities, analyze market trends, and develop strategic sales plans.
Distributor Engagement & Performance
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with distributor personnel to ensure alignment with Yards’ goals.
- Execute wholesaler engagement initiatives to motivate and inspire distributor teams.
- Track and measure distributor execution against key metrics including distribution, volume, and promotional effectiveness.
- Identify opportunities to improve sales and velocity through enhanced merchandising and promotional efforts.
Retail Execution & Brand Growth
- Conduct retail audits and quality control checks to ensure Yards products are properly merchandised and represented.
- Maximize brand visibility and product velocity in retail locations by improving shelf presence, displays, and promotional execution.
- Plan and execute beer tastings, beer dinners, special events, and festivals to increase consumer engagement and trial.
- Monitor and uphold strict quality standards at all accounts.
Data-Driven Decision Making & Reporting
- Utilize sales tools (IRI, Nielsen, VIP) to develop and implement strategic sales plans.
- Analyze sales data and market trends to identify growth opportunities and sales gaps.
- Manage local budgets including volume, sales, and marketing expenses to optimize spend.
- Complete administrative tasks in a timely and organized manner, including expense and mileage reports, sales reports, and work calendars.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 3-5 years of beverage sales, trade marketing, or distributor management experience (preferably in the craft beer or beverage industry).
- Strong understanding of distributor networks, retail execution, and sales strategy.
- Proven track record of achieving sales goals, increasing brand presence, and developing strong customer relationships.
- Experience using VIP, IRI, Nielsen, or other sales data platforms to track performance and build sales strategies.
- Ability to travel regionally and work nights and weekends as required for activations and events.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. (kegs, POS materials, event setups, etc.).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM tools, and sales tracking systems.
