Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and hardworking General Laborer to join our civil construction team. The ideal candidate will assist with a variety of tasks on construction sites, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on time. Key Responsibilities
- Site Preparation and Cleanup:
- Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, setting up materials, and organizing tools.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area during and after projects.
- Material Handling:
- Load and unload construction materials and equipment.
- Transport materials to designated areas on-site as directed.
- Support Skilled Tradespeople:
- Assist carpenters, machine operators, and other skilled workers as needed.
- Follow instructions to perform basic construction tasks under supervision.
- Equipment Operation:
- Operate basic construction tools and machinery (e.g., shovels, drills, compactors) safely and responsibly.
- Inspect tools and machinery before use and report any issues.
- Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to minimize hazards.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience:
- Previous experience in construction or related field is an advantage but not required.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to [80 lbs] and perform manual labor tasks.
- Comfortable working in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions.
- Skills:
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and techniques.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 70 per week
