Position Overview: We are seeking a landscape maintenance team lead to join our team. You will be an integral part of our landscape maintenance and enhancement efforts. You will work closely with our landscape team to perform a wide range of tasks, including driving, lawn care, planting, irrigation maintenance, and landscape installations. Your expertise and attention to detail will ensure that our clients' outdoor spaces remain vibrant, healthy, and inviting.
Responsibilities:
Driving: You will be driving a box truck with the team's equipment in it to the job sites each day.
Landscape Maintenance: Perform regular landscape maintenance activities, including mowing, edging, weeding, pruning, and fertilizing, to maintain the health and appearance of lawns, plants, and trees.
Planting and Softscape Care: Assist with planting flowers, shrubs, and trees following design plans. Provide proper care, such as watering, mulching, and pest control, to ensure healthy growth and longevity.
Irrigation Maintenance: Inspect and maintain irrigation systems, adjusting sprinklers and repairing leaks to ensure efficient water distribution and conserve water resources.
Hardscape Maintenance: Clean and maintain hardscape features, including pathways, patios, and retaining walls, to preserve their aesthetics and functionality.
Seasonal Enhancements: Assist with seasonal landscape enhancements, such as holiday decorations and seasonal flower installations, to add visual appeal to our clients' properties.
Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain landscape equipment and tools, such as lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers, and pruning shears, ensuring they are in good working condition.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Client Interaction: Interact with clients in a courteous and professional manner, addressing any questions or concerns and ensuring client satisfaction.
Landscape Projects: Support landscape installation projects by assisting with soil preparation, planting, and other tasks as needed.
Environmental Stewardship: Demonstrate a commitment to environmental sustainability by implementing eco-friendly practices and promoting responsible landscape management.
Requirements:
- Previous Experience: Prior experience in landscape maintenance or related field is preferred but not mandatory. Previous experience in driving a box truck or other large vehicle.
- Knowledge: Basic understanding of landscape plants, lawn care techniques, and irrigation systems is a plus.
- Physical Endurance: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects, bending, and working in various weather conditions.
- Attention to Detail: Keen eye for precision and an ability to maintain the quality and appearance of landscapes.
- Team Player: Willingness to work collaboratively with other team members and follow instructions from supervisors.
- Time Management: Effective time management skills to complete tasks efficiently and meet established schedules.
- Communication Skills: Good communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is preferred.
