This position serves as a Plant Health Care Technician responsible for monitoring, evaluating, and providing plant and grass health care needs on client properties. The individual will be responsible for handling most routine pest management operations. Practices and has a basic understanding of plant science and above-average plant and pest diagnostic identification skills. Will be expected to have proficiency in the identification, deficiencies, and problem-solving skills of plants and grass. Follow directions from PHC Coordinator of various scheduled work orders to be completed. Ensures that all company policies regarding safety, storage, and handling of all herbicides, fungicide, and pesticide spray products are followed. Is familiar with products and techniques used to maintain plant health and grass management. Thoroughly understands and practices the correct mixing ratios and transportation procedures of chemicals and organics. Utilizes all appropriate safety protective equipment to adhere to the company's safety policy. Maintains all required work order record keeping and reporting procedures and interacts regularly with clients to ensure client satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Min 2-3 years of experience
- Must have or be able to obtain local applicator spray licenses
- Background check and clean driving record
- Must be able to identify and recognize local shrubs and grass Pathology, Entomology, and knowledge of shrub and grass physiology are necessary to diagnose Familiarity with soil analysis procedures * * Follow and abide by all safety rules and policies
- Must be a team player and always communicate effectively
- Must be able to follow directions easily and complete work tickets
- Ability to complete PHC work in a timely fashion
- Must be courteous and friendly if approached by property owners
- Understands and can operate all PHC application tools associated with the trade

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
