Who We're Looking For
A front office receptionist! They are a key member of our dental team because they set the initial tone, impression, and voice of our office. They are the first person a new patient speaks to, and help shape the office atmosphere. The front office receptionist will support the practice by scheduling patient appointments, answering calls and emails in a timely manner, collecting insurance, patient payments, managing patient files, verifying insurance plans, and processing claims.
Responsibilities
- properly scheduling patient appointments in the calendar, based on their appropriate treatment times and production
- handling daily, weekly, and monthly production and accounts receivable
- collecting and entering patient payments, billing plans, insurance reimbursements, and outstanding balances
- managing patient records in a private and secure manner that follows HIPAA regulations
- ability to run patient insurance eligibility and verification
- proper organization of outgoing and incoming mail
- competency in entering insurance payments correctly
- proficient in dental insurance terminology and the entry of PPO in-network write offs, accepted fees, UCR fees, and deductibles.
- keeping a clean and organized work environment
- responding to patient messages and emails in a timely manner
- keep a warm and inviting tone when communicating with patients
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus but not required
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years front office administration in the dental field
- Experience with PPO dental insurance plans
- Impeccable spelling and grammar
- Must be energetic, empathetic, warm, and inviting
- Detail oriented
- Skilled in practice management software as well as microsoft office and excel
- Able to lift 35lbs
