We are seeking an Applications Engineer to be based in the Western Region but travel nationally. The Applications Engineer is an interdisciplinary position that requires the individual to work with commercial and utility scale PV customers, third-party engineers, utility engineers, sales representatives, customer service, and engineering. More specifically, this role will :
- Provide technical support to the sales team during customer webinars, conference calls, and in-person visits.
- Provide telephone and e-mail support to customer inquiries about product performance and specification requirements.
- Be the internal resource for engineering staff for product improvement feedback and product market trends.
- Conduct periodic inspection of in-service products at specified intervals and at customer request to verify safety, performance, and status.
- Create, review, and edit product manuals, specification sheets, and internal technical procedures.
- Develop customer-facing documentation such as application notes, industry publications, slide decks, webinars, etc.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Power System Engineering and have 2-4 years in the PV Solar Industry. Expertise in NEC, NABCEP, and PVSyst is highly preferred.
