The Drives Product Manager is responsible for defining low voltage variable frequency drive features, promotion, pricing, and cost requirements. Product managers are responsible for their respective product lines through the product lifecycle: research, development, launch, maintenance, and obsolescence. The candidate must be self-motivated, possess the ability to learn a diverse skill set on-the-job, and communicate clearly to all management levels both internally and externally. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a cross-functional team consisting of project management, marketing, sales, engineering, strategic sourcing, and manufacturing.
Description of Duties:
- Develop pricing and profitability analyses and strategies
- Create business plans, product roadmaps, and marketing specifications
- Create technical marketing collateral
- Plan and execute new product launches
- Create, schedule, and present sales training material
- Identify new product opportunities to increase revenues and/or decrease costs
- Answer product-related questions
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Marketing or equivalent related work experience.
- Superb oral and written communication skills
- Ability to memorize product details and understand their value
- Experience with product management within the variable frequency drive (VFD) industry is desirable
- Deadline-driven
- Domestic travel less than 20%
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
