Yates Industries is seeing a Truck Driver for our St. Clair Shores, MI facility.
The Truck Driver will be responsible for safely driving to and from designated locations, verifying loads to shipping papers, and maintaining the electronic logging device (EID).

Essential Responsibilities
- Truck Driver will be responsible to drive a variety of trucks, including pick up, van, and stake trucks, to transport materials to and from specified customers and vendors.
- Knowledge of commercial driving regulations and southeast Michigan roads.
- Properly secure items/materials for transit.
- Maintain truck log according to State and Federal regulations.
- Maintain contact with supervisor to receive delivery/pick up instructions.
- Truck Driver will load and unload truck; operate hi-lo, cranes as needed.
- Prior to vehicle operation, daily inspect truck equipment and supplies, such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, etc.
- Maintain professional and friendly relationship with customers.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must have CDL with Air Brake certification.
- Must have minimum 1 year driving experience.
- Able to operate 24’ stake truck.
- Able to do long runs when required (day ).
- Capable to operate 350 pickups, with trailer.
- Capable to load, unload, and secure load properly and safely.
- Familiar with machine shop environment
- Capable to do Misc. maintenance/ shop duties when no trucking is available.
- Must have good driving record.
- Good communication skills a plus
