Starting Wage: $16.00 Per Hour

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Groundskeeper will perform a variety of semi-skilled and unskilled work related to the landscape of the Yavapai-Apache Nation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prefer High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum one (1) year landscape experience.
- Must have a valid Arizona Driver’s License and be insurable with the Nation’s auto insurance policy and sustain insurability throughout the duration of employment.
- Must be reliable to report to work on time and work with minimal supervision.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs a variety of landscape maintenance work, including mowing grounds, trimming shrubs and trees.
- Preparing flower beds for planting and planting flowers, applying fertilizers, herbicides and pesticides, and cutting weeds.
- Prepares a variety of groundskeeper activities, including picking up trash and brush, watering lawns, trees and flowers.
- Maintain a positive working relationship with all tribal employees.
- Other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements
Work is performed primarily outdoor settings, in all weather conditions, including temperature extremes, during the day. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit; talk or hear; stand; walk; use hands to finger; handle or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pound or more. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distant, color, and peripheral, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
